The Crafts Council of Ireland have designated 2011 as the year of craft and in collaboration with this RTE has produced a series of programmes surrounding various crafts that are practiced in Ireland. Below is a link describing the series. In the first episode of the series, contemporary glass artist Roisin de Buitlear acts as a mentor to three glass art enthusiasts.
